Environment Minister Condoles with Victims of Kaduna Bombing

The Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal has condoled with the Government of Kaduna State and victims of the mistaken drone strike that killed scores in Tudun Biri village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Sunday, December 3rd.

In his message, the Minister said “It is with deepest shock and sadness that I am writing to express my profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences regarding the tragic bomb incident that transpired on Sunday 3rd December 2023 in Tudun Biri village of igabi LGA of our dear state. The tragic incident will undoubtedly leave a deep scar on the affected communities and Government of Kaduna state.”

Continuing, he said, “As I extend my deepest condolences to His Excellency, Governor Uba Sabi, the entire Kaduna state people, my thoughts also are with the immediate families who have lost their loved ones and with all those grappling with the profound grief and anguish caused by this regrettable mistake. The pain experienced by the citizens of Kaduna state and the entire nations is unimaginable.

“I recognize the challenges that your Excellency administration faces in the aftermath of this mistaken drone strike and trust that every possible effort will be made to provide support to the affected families. It is in my sincere hope that a thorough investigation will be conducted as directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, and measures will be taken to prevent future occurrences.”

In conclusion, he said, “As the people of Kaduna state are going through this difficult time, I stand in solidarity with your Excellency’s leadership and the citizens in the pursuit of justice and healing.”
