President Bola Tinubu has sacked Heads of Agencies in Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) and Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC).
Other agencies affected by the big stick are National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA), Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FiRCN).
The affected Chief Executive Officers were under the agencies and parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
To this end, Tinubu named their replacement as contained in a press statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
Ngelale disclosed that the appointment aligned with Tinubu’s resolve to base Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small, medium and large-scale industry facilitation.
The new appointees are: Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN (CAC); Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin (ITF); Kamar Bakrin (NSDC); Olufemi Ogunyemi (NEPZA); Nonye Ayeni (NEPC); Aisha Rimi (NIPC); Bamanga Usman Jada (OGFZA); and Charles Odii (SMEDAN).
Others are Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke (SON); Rabiu Olowo (FiRCN); Anthony Atuche, CFA (Nigeria Commodities Exchange); Veronica Safiya Ndanusa (Lagos International Trade Fair Complex); Lucia Shittu (Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board); and Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin (National Automotive Design and Development Council).
The President expects the new appointees to optimally deliver in accordance with the new performance benchmark as established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
