Minister of Interior Decorates NIS CG, Others with New Ranks

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Wura-Ola Adepoju and six others who were recently promoted to the positions of Deputy Comptrollers General have been decorated with their new ranks by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at a ceremony held during the meeting of Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) on Thursday.

The Deputy Comptrollers who were decorated alongside the CG by the Minister are Auna Usman, Usman Babangida, Zainab Lawal; Hassan Sadate; Emenike Ijeoma Chidi and Nandap Kemi Nanna.

Dr. Olubunmi who appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his Support to the Ministry, congratulated the newly decorated Controller General of Imigration(CGI) and the DCGIs for their hard work, dedication and sacrifice to duty, which has brought them this far. He pointed out to the newly decorated Women Personnel that: “you have successfully shattered the limitations of women folks, and you are ready for equal opportunity to move forward”.

Stressing, the Minister emphasized the need for team work to propel the service to greater heights and seamless operations. Adding that the service is going to regain her pride if only all hands are on deck.

Dr Tunji-Ojo charged the CGI and the newly decorated DCGs to discharge their duties with every sense of purpose and in line with the set standards of the service.

Appreciating, the Comptroller General, Adepoju Caroline Wura-ola (Mrs) pledged her loyalty, dedication, commitment  and strong partnership with the Hon. Minister of interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for effective service delivery especially in the area of issuance of travel documents and borders Management.
