Interior Ministry gets New Permanent Secretary

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Ashetu Goggo Ndayako, who was recently appointed by the Federal Government, has on Friday afternoon, 12th January, 2024, resumed duty and pledged to carry everybody along to deliver the mandate of the Ministry.
Speaking with the Director, Joint Services, Dr Peter Egbodo and other stakeholders of the Ministry at its headquarters, the Perm Sec said, it gladens her heart that she is meeting a well trained and professional Management team and staff who are ready to collaborate and synergise with anybody to achieve the mandate of the Ministry. She advocated for a cordial working and beneficial relationship that will lead to the actualization of the Renew Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr Goggo, said it is a rare privilege to be appointed to serve her country in the capacity of Permanent Secretary under a sensitive Ministry such as Ministry of Interior. She pledged to be accountable in her new tasks urging the support of all the Staff of the Ministry for a smoth steadwardship.
The new Permanent Secretary thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for considering her worthy of the appointment saying she do not take it for granted at all. She promised to deploy her best knowledge and abilities in ensuring that the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President becomes a reality.
Dr Ashetu overwhelmingly thanked staff and the management Team for the warm reception accorded her and her entourage. She also appreciated her family members who were in her company to the ministry, led by her husband, the AVM Haruna Muhammed (Baraden Nupe) among others, for their support and dispassionate Love.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Director Joint Services, Dr Peter Egbodo, who equals as the Overseer of the Office of the Permanent Secretary until the appointment of Dr Ashetu, congratulated the new Permanent Secretary and welcome her on board.
Speaking further, Dr. Egbodo said the Ministry of Interior plays a very critical role in the infrastructure of internal security of the country with enormous challenges. Adding
that the confidence the government repose in her and her track records that earned her the position is evidently cleared that she is not new to the challenges.
Mr Peter assured her of an ambitious and a performance driving environment that will help her carryout the Ministry’s mandate seemlesly.
