Promote 357 Junior Officers

The Nigeria Customs Service has approved the promotion of 357 junior cadre Officers of the service from the ranks of Customs Assistant 1(CAI) to Inspector of Customs (IC).
In a statement credited to the Comptroller General, Adewale Adeniyi, the Nigeria Customs, at its management meeting, held in Abuja recently, reeled out the breakdown of the promoted Officers encompassing both the General Duty (GD) and the Support Staff (SS).
According to the statement, 246 AICs got promoted to IC (GD); 37 AIC to IC SS; 39 CAI to AIC GD;
27 CAI to AIC SS; 7 CAII to CAI SS, 1 CAII to CAII GD.
According to CG Adeniyi, the promotion is in recognition of Excellence, Deligence, dedication and commitment to duty by the officers.
CG Adewale who congratulated the newly promoted Officers for their career progression and advancement, charged the Men to redouble their efforts in fulfilling the core mandates of the service of: Revenue generation, Suppression of Smuggling activities, and Trade Facilitation.
