Ezeafulukwe is AEDC’s New Managing Director

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced Mr. Christopher Ezeafulukwe as its new Managing Director (MD)/Chief Executive Officer.

AEDC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Donald Etim, in a statement in Abuja on Saturday said that the new CEO who assumed duty on Friday, September 1 was appointed MD by the Board of AEDC following the acquisition of 60 per cent stake in the company by Transcorp-led investors.

Ezeafulukwe joined AEDC from Transcorp Power, where he served as MD/CEO as well.

He holds an LL. B. degree from the University of Lagos, a B.L (second class upper division) from the Nigerian Law School, an LL. M from the University of Lagos and another LL. M in Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston, Texas. An alumnus of Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, Spain. he is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), and until recently a member of the Executive Council of the Association of Power Generation Companies.

Ezeafulukwe while taking over from the outgoing MD , Mr Adeoye Fadeyibi  expressed commitment to take AEDC to its rightful position in the country’s power sector.

The AEDC boss also promised to improve the performance of the company as it relates to its customers and other stakeholders.
